November 28, 2016 - Joy Park is an outdoor exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus. The spectacular 30,000 sq. ft. space features fun, interactive snapshots of different Colorado locations.

The vision for Joy Park began in 2012 with a joint venture between Kerri Atter, Special Projects Manager of the Children’s Museum, her great team, and Denver Parks and Recreation.

The Children’s Museum of Denver opened in early 1974 and has since expanded and developed into a state-of-the-art, hands-on experience enjoyed year-round by millions of children and adults alike.

It was vital to provide shade protection from Colorado’s intense sun and make this incredible outdoor space comfortable for everyone in the family.

The installation includes several Paraflex configurations, including Multiflex 4+1, Multiflex 3, Duoflex and Monoflex, adding up to a total of 42 octagonal-shaped canopies in vibrant Sunbrella outdoor fabric colors, Aruba and Macaw, and intermixed with a rich, dark Charcoal.

“We decided on the ShadeScape’s Paraflex Umbrella System because of the elegance, flexible and artistic design, and unequaled quality.”

Kerri Atter, Special Projects Manager, Denver Children's Museum
